In Sodwana!
Yup, in Sodwana.
I got a bite mark on my leg. I saw it on Friday, but thought nothing of it, but on Sunday it was pretty sore and the headache was quite bad, but nothing a few Myprodols can't fix.
On Monday morning I felt horrible, so went to the doc, booked off for three days. And hell my head hurts.

Wingman, regarding your "gem":
"That's nothing, my son-in-law came back from a hunting trip and advised that he had a dose of swine flu. The question I shouldn't have asked was "what symptoms do you have" in which he replied that he just wanted to have sex in the mud."
............ODI PROFANUM VOLGUS ET ARCEO!!

a famous Latin phrase meaning "I hate the common crowd and I spurn them". Excuse the pun but it’s a common swine flu joke doing the rounds........
media magnet’s character assassination also accepted.

Headaches ALWAYS hurt more on Mondays...!
Did the Doc give you Antibiotics+stuff? If he did, you can get the TBF again...
I had it once and ended up in hospital - they didn't know what I had as I hadn't been near the bush.
After three days of serious headache, blood tests and such, they identified TBF.
One injection and a few hours later I was feeling much better.
...but I can get it again!

Guys and Girls of the Kosi/Sodwana trip: your picture DVD is ready for collection!
I'll have them at Club Night tomorrow evening.
If you can't be there, PM/email me for collection arrangements?

Anyone else get a traffic fine on this trip? I received an unfriendly letter from the occifers of Piet Retief yesterday! Nice photo though, albeit a bit overpriced!

Maybe if you write them a nice letter they will feel sorry for you and give you 50% discount...?
(Personally, I'd wait for the summons...if it comes!)

If I receive it via registered post, I write them a letter. Normal post, I usually wait for a more serious letter. But all the summons letters potentially on the way can start to lie heavily on one’s shoulders.
Don’t get me wrong. I don’t ride like a maniac, but there is one or two unforeseen instances where the traffic department thinks that I do…

I often find it difficult to watch the “speedo” while standing......maybe you can use it as an excuse in an appeal

Or tape some appropriate duct tape across certain letters of the number plate and hope you dont get stopped in a road block.

White works best. Saw it on a GS 1200 (friend of mine and not a member of the club) and it blends in well with the number plate.

Geez, I was leading on a X-Challenge!!!!
Need I say more, the X-Challenge is the ultimate bike, fast enough to attract heavy speeding fines, and nimble enough to play in the thickest sand!
I'm a happy chappy!

I wasn’t really trying to catch up. Was actually somewhere in the middel of the group. Just trying to pin it on the group to see if any suggestions come in to split the damage!
It was a 60km/h zone, so I wasn’t really going THAT fast… I think Knopkop is the safest bet for not getting any fines from this trip! Helps riding new bikes all the time…
