Kosi Bay GS ride 7-10 August
As per usual our GS calendar can not go without some fun in the Sand.
This year we will go to Kosi Bay from the 7th to the 10th of August. Day 1 (all tar) and Day 4 (all tar) will be pillion friendly. Day 2 will be partially pillion friendly (Tar and dirt) and will include a visit to the country's most Eastern point (for those interested in earning Extreme badges). Day 3 (Jeep sand tracks) will be less than 40 kilometers but can not be described as extremely pillion friendly.
We will stay in Sodwana bay and a lot of time will also spent having fun at the beach, so remember to bring some swimming gear.
I have compiled a document with all the details. Please pm me with your e-mail details and I will forward the details.

Definitely interested! I’m sure those sand tracks will be quite a challenge with a pillion! Gets my hart racing just thinking about it, but in a good way!

Re: Kosi Bay GS ride 7-10 August
Part of the Press Release by Rob Barnes:
"On a Spring day in late September 2009, several hundred BMW GS riders will commence a journey of exploration from the four corners of South Africa. Over a two day period each rider will cover a distance of 1000km, often on seldom travelled roads, culminating in a National Gathering of these intrepid riders and their machines.
And why “Eco”? Famous anthropologist, Margaret Mead, once said “Never doubt that a small group of thoughtful, committed citizens can change the world. Indeed it is the only thing that ever has”. The BMW GS Eco 1000 will comprise such a group of GS owners who will give back to society and the environment through this event more than they have taken.
Registration will commence mid-July when you can visit your local dealer or the BMW Motorrad website: www.bmwmotorrad.co.za for more information..."
Nothing more yet..?

Tx, really sounds boring. Now I'm sorry I didn't do Sabie Challenge.
Oh well, then Kosi looks like a good option!

Hmmmmm.... the captain drives a hard bargain! Aye, interested I am, but checking with the lass, I will do first laddie.
Seriously... I think I'll be going to Rhino Park with Sharkie this weekend - if only to chase that stubnose GS of his around the place. And I think I'll take the Yamaha again Oom Jan will first teach me a thing or two...

I will be at the Sambok bar on Saturday with Pauli on his new bling machine. The idea is to get Pauli going on the off-road bike. Any moral support is more than welcome
