Re: Kosi Bay, Sodwana & sand
Day 4
We were all up early on Monday morning, ready to tackle the 700 odd km’s back home. We would ride in the same groups heading back, but Jannie has left the previous day, Pierre and Yolandi wanted to ride a different route, and Gary would ride down to Ballito. Joy would drive the back-up vehicle as Shadi was not yet feeling 100%. So the groups were a bit smaller.
We also decided that we are gonna give the Pongola - Piet Retief stretch a go to see if it is really all that bad with regards to road works. This would shorten the trip by 100km’s. The road works are pretty bad, but on the bikes it was ok. We could ride to the front and then get away quicker than the cars. All in all, including all the stops, it only took us 15min longer that the 100km detour.
We then headed for Piet Retief, Amsterdam, Ermelo, Bethal, Delmas and then back home.
A LONG BORING day on the tar................... I was glad to be home.
My Airhawk seat deflated in Pongola, so the last 460km I had to endure the X-Challenge seat, eish.....
I want to thank Pieter for organising a great trip with excellent routes. Also a huge thanks to everyone who helped sweeping, and to Andre and Shadi for the back-up. And thanks to all who made the effort to join on this trip, as usual we were a great group, and had lots of fun and laughs!!!!

Re: Kosi Bay, Sodwana & sand
Excellent pics - thank you.

That's nothing, my son-in-law came back from a hunting trip and advised that he had a dose of swine flu. The question I shouldn't have asked was "what symptoms do you have" in which he replied that he just wanted to have sex in the mud.
