OPPIKOPPI musical festival 7-9 August

This festival will be held in the bushveld close to Thabazimbe. The line-up include artists like Karen Zoid, Chris Camelion, Bachus Nell, Valient, Jack Hammer unplugged, Koos Kombuis en die First national band, Prime Circle, Fokofpolisieka, The Parlotones to name a few.

Entrance to the festival and all concerts for the 3 days is R400 p/p. This includes a camping site etc. Day entrances are also possible at a different rate.

I am planning to go for the weekend and will be leaving around lunch time on Friday. Anyone who wants to ride along and join in for the weekend can contact me.

Come on people, we are already 3 in the crowd. The other 2 is from central. I want to make this trip a trial trip for the splashy fenn trip over Easter in 2009. The fenn is a similar musical feast in Underburg down in Natal and it is a min ride away from Sani pass.

Perske - gaan speel op die highway. Personally i regard anything less than 3 star as camping - so enjoy your camping boet. I have reached the age where i can chose what i want to do. Danie, I am at a conference on the Friday till 5pm, so it will not be possible to leave Friday. On Sunday I am already going to a relative's 50th. That leaves Saturday. I will sleep on it...Andre

Your LT will look just peachy with some Continental TKC's on...!
It's powerful enough to tow a little fold-up "sleep-wa" and you can have 4-star accommodation (or 5-star if you stock the drinks cabinet with Martelle brandy).

Youre a bit late to design a trailer for the tandem - freely available and in use in Nieu Zeeland - people go touring there with the bicycles and tandems.

Shucks, missed out on an opportunity there. Maybe a blow-up caravan is an idea with potential. Will not take up much space either

..not if you take the "optional extra" blow-up pillion-poppie as well...


The pillion-poppie's other inflatable extras just don't pack very well !

Well, I guess it is back to he drawing board again, but in the meantime the blow-up pillion-poppie could come in handy Will have to find a way to prevent her from being blown off the bike though. I wonder if they will charge me for an extra breakfast
