Final arrangements for those leaving on Saturday and sleeping over at Malaga Hotel, Waterval Onder. We will leave 8 am from Atterbury Shell with Dave's group to Badplaas, where we will do some rides, have some fun and have something light to eat, leaving late afternoon for Malaga. If anyone is interested in the GPS route, just PM me your e-mail address and I will send the file to you. See you all on Saturday cheers

By this time i have lost count of who and how many people are going through and making this an over- nighter. As i am leading this ride we cant do so.

Andre can you please send me an SMS during the course of saturday so that i know how many of you are sleeping over that i can add that to the total for Sunday at Millies.

For 6 weeks (the duration of this thread), there was seemingly not a problem to keep track. Now 2 more names are added and all of a sudden there is a problem scratch scratch scratch

LeRoy Olivier wrote:By this time i have lost count of who and how many people are going through and making this an over- nighter. As i am leading this ride we cant do so.........

what do you mean by this? : "As i am leading this ride we cant do so"

We will be joining Dave, Dorothy, Chris and Golda for an overnighter at Badplaas. All the arrangements have therefore been communicated to the relevant people.

A second group consisting of Andre, Henk, Jester (and his wife?) are having an overnighter at Malaga Hotel.

These two groups will probably ride together on Saturday. On Sunday, both groups will join the ride you are leading for breakfast at Milleys (or where ever).

If it is numbers for the breakfast you are after……..there you have it……..and all obtained just by scanning this topic.

In any event, it is a fruitless exercise to now try and get numbers for the breakfast as besides the 10 people listed above, another 10/15/20 might put their hands up on Friday night......also the reason why we did not see the need to inform you at this stage that we will be joining the breakfast on Sunday

Rolling Eyes
As I read the above, LeRoy says he cannot make it an over-nighter as he is committed to lead the official Club Ride leaving from Pretoria on Sunday morning.
Guys, all we need to do is add all the numbers together that will be converging from three (or more) points at Millies on Sunday.
Each ride organiser (official and private) just ask on Friday night who is going and add them all up...

Have to agree - that is usually the procedure followed at the Club evening - ask for numbers who will be at the breakfast so as to be able to give the venue an indication of approximate attendance - QED Wink Cool

Lizell and I will not be attending the ride, weekend or otherwise. My knee is only up to smaller trips at present.

I am sure it will be a good one though so all those going must have a good, safe time.

I am aware of the fact that if you trust the weatherman you can be sold the Brooklyn bridge and if you plan your trip accordingly, the Union Buildings but this is the latest from www.weathersa.co.za. Looks like a great weekend in the making. Cannot wait

It seems in total 10 people are leaving on Saturday - of which 4 (Including Andre) will be sleeping in/at Machadodorp. I take it that these 4 will be joining the breakfast. Chunky has also confirmed to joining the group for breakfast at Millies.

With reference to Jamie's posting in page 4 of this thread - how many of the group of 6 sleeping at Badplaas will be joining the group for breakfast at Millies.

lol! you lot . .

Still contemplating if I should take the 1200 to Milly's . . Will have to see - maybe Saturday - if this plastered hand can handle the bigger bike.
(800 is on the upper margin now with almost 1200km - needs his 1000km service urgently! booked for Monday 8th.)

Till then, don't add me to your numbers LeRoy. Wink
