Breakfast Run to Milly's - 7 September
There wont be a GS ride to Milly's on 7 September, but a practice session at Rhino Park. This will serve as preparation for the GS Challenge.

Re: Breakfast Run to Milly's - 7 September
The road route is still being worked out - planning will be posted shortly. It will not be a one night sleepover, thus the destination and venue might change so as to make it more suitable for a sunday morning breakfast run. Any suggestions in liue of venue, to the east of Pretoria. LeRoy

Re: Breakfast Run to Milly's - 7 September
What's wrong with a 210km early morning ride to Milly's? ...and a pub crawl around Machadodorp after the breakfast?
I feel this will be a stunning ride for road bikes. Done it before and will gladly do it again.

Re: Breakfast Run to Milly's - 7 September
Better still, why not make it a Sat/Sun sleep-over. There is a nice biker friendly venue just outside Machadodorp that is very reasonably priced. Can't remember the name now but will check and let you know...Andre

Ok - can change it to a one night sleep over - depending on how the rest of the club feels. Can you let me have the details of it, so that I can post it and convey it to all at this fridays meeting. Regards. LeRoy

Re: Breakfast Run to Milly's - 7 September
Sorry, I had it slightly wrong. The place I am thinking of is the Malaga Hotel just outside Waterval Onder. It is not far from Machadodorp, so it is still an option....Andre

Re: Breakfast Run to Milly's - 7 September
As not all members will want to sleep over we will still have to have the option of a Sunday morning departure for this ride.

Noted - the first choice still is to ride there on Sunday and back - will obviously be for a late brunch as the distance there is 270k's - on the backroads south of the N4 - GPS routes will be posted on Monday. LeRoy

Re: Breakfast Run to Milly's - 7 September
The initial planning for Millies stays the same - we will be leaving on sunday 7th Sept, at 7 for 7:30 at Atterbury Shell. Ride there and back and have a brunch as planned.
If anybody wants to do a sleepover in Machadodorp on the Saturday Evening (6 Sept 08) please feel free to contact Andre direct by way of the MP (Personal Message) function on Andres' profile. The ride planning will be posted early this week.

Re: Breakfast Run to Milly's - 7 September
Henk, at the moment, except now for you, I had no interest in a sleep-over. However, let's give it a bit more time and see what happens. I have not yet arranged anything but was going to look into sleeping over just outside Waterval Onder. Will keep everyone posted closer to the time.

Re: Breakfast Run to Milly's - 7 September
OK - myself and Dorothy have been trying to plan time to visit Badplaas to finalise things at the resort for the year end function.
What better timing than the Millys run? So, because club night is on the 5 September we can't leave on the Friday, but have decided to go through to Badplaas early Saturday morning and stay at the resort the Saturday night.
This gives time to finalise arrangements and recce the ride planned for the Saturday (1 Nov) of the YEF. This route recce will be done on the Sunday.
A 206km route through Nelshoogte and Bothasnek on the way to Barberton. Before Barberton turn off towards Nelspruit, on to Schoemanskloof and then to Machadodorp to Millys to meet up with the breakfast ride group for breakfast.
Any takers??

Re: Breakfast Run to Milly's - 7 September
Great idea. Unfortunately they will only book accommodation for Friday and Saturday night. I have asked them to book for me and Dorothy and told them we will only arrive on the Saturday - hotel room for two including breakfast - R612.00.
Other options are:
SCS2 = R603.00 : Chalet 2 Single Beds Kitchen Bathroom
HRT2 = R612.00 : Hotel Room 2 Single Breakfast for 2 persons En-Suite Bathroom
HRD4 = R764.00 : Hotel Room 2 Double Beds Breakfast for 2 persons En-Suite Bathroom
HSD2 = R1 010.00 : Hotel Room with adjoining lounge 2 Single Beds Breakfast for 2 persons En-Suite Bathroom
SRS4 = R866.00 : Chalet 2 Bedrooms 4 Single Beds Kitchen Bathroom
They are pretty full for the weekend so need to book asap.
Do u want me to book for u and what option?
