Another review http://www.bmwmotorrad.co.za/bikes/tests/default.asp?Mode=2&Id=149

The author prefers no ABS, so dont expect much on the ABS topic in this article.

Mmhhh ja……….

Both Mermaid and I are members of the F800Riders.org forum…….part of our research before replacing the Veefer.

We have learned about the so called “problem” there. Since we bought the F800, I have tried to get the ABS to misbehave under controlled circumstances…….and sometimes not so controlled (read pushing as hard as I can). Not once did I even remotely manage to simulate the described problem…….and believe me, both the boys and myself have tried.

So, it is either fixed on the ’08 and/or definitely not as wide spread as the posters propagate it to be.
