Canal Roads / The ROCK / Beestekraal - 31 May 2009

Hi there everyone,

I will be riding a +_300km round trip towards Brits, including some canal service roads, a ride to the Rock at Jericho, then see who has the balls to attempt “Koos se klim” to the top of the Rock. We will then head to Beestekraal Stasie for a bun and a beer.
We will return to Harties via some more canal roads, and then back to Pretoria via Lanseria Airport. There is a nice little ride there that I want to ride again.

I will be ready to rock ‘n roll at 07:30am at the Caltex Garage at Mahem in Van der Hoff Road (R514) in Pretoria West. (S25 42.916 E28 06.277)

I have no idea what the road looks like, I have done some parts of it last week Sunday with no hassles – very easy riding. I do not think that there will be any mud, but there might be sand, maybe not, hell I have no clue. But we will go and find out. There are lost of thorns, so be prepared for punctures.

Either you AGGB this weekend or you BBG. Closest i will get to the BBG is riding a Blue LT. Unintentional though.

Mmm, change of plan here, might join and bring 2 friends. Will it work if we meet the one at Kommandonek Engen at 8am (although they accepted tentatively)?

Dis die Engen daar naby Tant Malie's, by die 4-rigting stop waar daar deesdae so baie bikers en shops is. Net bokant die begin van die kanaal roetes.

Oops... I forgot I have to join up with a work conference tomorrow afternoon already and have to sleep over, so I'll rather spend the morning with the family. Please take pictures & save the track for me for next time!!! Pretty please!!!!
