Re: Dullstroom GS Report
Hope so?! BON and I rode back together, I tried to shake him over some more gravel roads, but no, the fighter pilot was not going anywhere! We arrived at sunset after leaving at sunrise..
Seven hardcore GS riders pitched (Dani, Marius, André, Bruno, Martin (first ride) and Sias did a great job sweeping!) Well, I hope they enjoyed it, it was an epic - think I enjoyed it most, can do this route every weekend! The weather was perfect, albeit cool and the rain killed all the dust, leaving the road just slightly wet with a few mud spots to play in...
Bit busy this week, but here are a few snappies...
The first obstacle came early...
...whereafter Ma'am promptly parked her bike on the same spot Marnus parked on the recce run. Just in sympathy, you see. No pic. Fortunately that was the only incident on the trip.
We do it neatly in this club...
Some more along the route...
And then joining the clean side of the club at the beautiful Dunkeld for an awesome brunch - thanks for arranging this LeRoy. We made it just in time!

Re: Dullstroom GS Report
Great to hear you enjoyed it! Thankfully Mothersday is only once a year
Dani, I think we should start a support group or something... maybe the "Railroad Blues club" or "Horizontal Parking Association" hehehe
It's a great route, albeit a bit on the long side. And thanks for keeping the raised-suspension-trip-report-with-pictures-turnaround-time up to scratch ol' Drix. Good on ya!

Re: Dullstroom GS Report
Hey Drix,
Thanks a lot for the ride (including the way back!!!)
I've learned that to ride fast in sand you have JUST to keep the sun in front of you during the sunset, keep the sunglasses during the almost night, use a very old visor dirt closed and....STAND UP, try to LOOK UP and OPEN UP....rsrsrsrsrsrsrsrsrs
btw, good food! tks LeRoy!!!
