Re: 11 January Sunday Ride
My report of a wonderful and successful ride:
The road group consisted of 22 bikes and 7? pillions. Eat your hearts out, Off-roaders, we were more than you and to try to create an "Offroader club" will just send you in more and slippery deep mud by even suggesting such a challenge.
The road was smooth and the strectch after Warmbaths a joy for everyone. A true pipe burner!
Sorry for no pics now, our bandwidth on GPRS is virtually non-existant.
After Koekepan, most stopped at Beestekraal Stasie for an icecream and even more social. See, you guys from the mud, we have time to social! But then I hear you had a fun day too! Good
Thanks to everyone who participated; you all made the day!

Re: 11 January Sunday Ride
Glad the roadies had a good one!
PS. We had 23 bikes on the GS run . Good to see that the club is balanced and healthy.
We attracked 45 bikes on a rainy weekend. Imagine the numbers if we had a sunny day

Re: 11 January Sunday Ride
I would just like to thank all the members of the club who welcomed me with open arms on Sunday. The ride was awesome, the food was great the company was superb. You are a very special bunch of people and no jibes were thrown at my black Triumph. Thanks to Jamie for riding his Honda so that I did not feel completely overwhelmed. I will join you guys again for rides. Now please pat yourselves on your backs. You have an awesome club, superbly run and disciplined. IT WAS GREAT. THANKS

...and enjoyable. We seem to have a good balance in the club - rules that are needed to ensure enjoyment and safety of the riders, but not rules that overwhelm and spoil the fun nature of rides.
Well done to the ride leaders and sweeps that assist to make the rides a pleasure for all members.
.....and most of all, thanks to the members who make belonging to the club such a pleasure - after all, you are the club.
