Any idea where this one is going?

Brits canal roads? Bela-Bela? Rankin's Pass?

Nope sorry - the best I could get out of Adriaan is 7:00 for 7:30.
Oh and he said: "They must just follow me - We will go north!"

I believe he will give more info Friday night.

Remember: Adventure is caused by a lack of planning!

And we don't want to go on boring GS trips without adventure; do we??? Twisted Evil

Just follow Adriaan to the North. Just remember that since the Zeus Channel was contructed, Africa is an island. If you thus head North and reach the sea, you might have missed the Waterberge Wink

The question is - will I keep up with Adriaan? And will it rain? And is the earth really flat? (Nah, last one is easy - that's why I ride a GS! ) Basketball

BTW, when can I arrange a geocaching trip for us?

The latest is:
Adriaan is doing the recce ride today . .
Some clues:
He mentioned names like Swaershoekberge, Vaalwater, Naboomspruit .. and Klein Kariba for the breakfast venue.

Pending the official trip report (and all the other versions), just a quick update from the medical front.

Allun reported a fractured (but fortunately not broken) ankle with the swelling already going down.

Max was delivered into the care of Wilgers E.R. By the time I left, they had determined that his left index finger was broken and the thumb dislocated. He also had two fractured ribs and some scrapes & bruises. I was told the neck brace was just a precautionary measure. Apparently the doctor still had to determine whether the finger could be bandaged, or if they needed to operate. But strong as an ox, that guy!

Get well soon!!!

Thanks Marnus,

GREAT news, well sort of, indeed. Max took one MOERSE fall, glad to hear that he is OK, and not to badly damaged. RESPECT for still riding that 1150Adv all the way to Klein Kariba, through the sand and the most technical parts of the trip, in the state he was. I'll tell you someting, MAX is one tough oke !!!!

Glad to hear that Allun's foot is not broken, hope he heals quickly.

We wish both patients a speedy recovery and hope to have both of you back on the bikes ASAP !!!!

GET WELL SOON GUYS !!!

AND last but not least:
A HUGE Thank you to Marnus's wife for driving all the way to Klein Kariba, with the kiddie nogal, to fetch Max and Allun. Also a big thanks to Roger from Bavarian who will organise for the bikes to be collected from Klein Kariba tomorrow.

cheers cheers
