Sunday: GS Ride to Loskop

Departure time: 6:00 for 6:30 from Atterbury Shell

Brunch at Forever Resort Loskop
Make sure you have water for the road - it might be hot.

To Loskop - 175km mostly dirt roads
From Loskop - 186km tar - with options.

Level 1 & 2, with sand patches (level 3) here and there.

Another thing.. Is there DSTV at Forever? Will we be there by 11:00??

I recon we will be there at about 12.

I did not see a TV in the dining area, but I think there may be TV's in the bar area, but I'm not sure.

I tried to make the entry into Loskop as painless as possible, but it is a bit difficult as we do not have exact numbers. They are also a bit "deurmekaar". so this is how it will work. I will explain this at the Club night as well.

Every person needs to pay R50 at the Reception at the gate, when you get your bill for R105 for the Lunch, they will deduct R50. Your drinks is seperate. I tried to skip the R50 at the gate, but then we need to transfer the WHOLE amount for all the people into their bank account - not gonna work.

They will charge us R105 each for Lunch, but if we book as a group it is R125 each................... ?????? Like I said, a bit "deurmekaar"

There are lots of swimming pools to swim in, so you can bring your bikini or swembroek, and have a dip.

Oh, yes, I forgot something.....

There is a moerse "sloot" as well. But that is much further on in the ride, I cannot remember so lekker where it is. It came as a bit of a surprise for me too, as you cannot see it untill you are 30cm from it....

But, there is an escape route. I saw the escape route, but I wondered why it was there, it looked a bit sandy, so I decided to skip the escape route and carry on straight.......for a nice surprise......but we both made it quite easily in the end.

what time do you expect to be back in pta? i have other engagements for the afternoon, so I would love to have an estimation...

The ride back took us about 01:45, all on tar roads. But I guess you can cut a few minutes if you take the N4 from Middelburg back to PTA (Toll Road)

So if my math is correct, we will be there by noon, add 1 hour for lunch, and 01:45 back home, making it 14:45?

The ride ends a bit late for me and was looking forward to it very much, but won't be able to make this one! Enjoy!
