Wow, what a beautiful bike !
I loved my VFR800.
I think still today it is regarded as the best Sports Tourer ever.
Now with a 1000cc motor. Pity Amid doesn't allow bike rides on Kyalami anymore. This would be on my wishlist.

Indeed a nice looking bike. I like the integrated exhaust design. With a V5 it would have an interesting sound.

Is this pitched against the K1200S or GT (with the panniers)

Must say I am not sure where they pitch it now. Previously the VFR800 was pitched against the earlier R1100S in the "Sports Tourer" category but the new R1200S in my opinion has moved away from this category.

Must say it looks like a tourer that can mix it with the superbikes in the twisties. Luckily the bank manager will not allow this now, at least until the LT is paid up.
