See the back wheel has markings from the concrete culvert. The wire mesh covering the stones may have caused the bike to catapult. Abe remembers seeing the bike in the air but cannot remember how he fell, he thought he was going to hit the concrete wall. Accident scene

Abe had no broken bones, no damage to his clothing or boots. Took him to the doctor in Dundee to check him over, all was well except for him feeling bruised and sore. We are ever so grateful that Tammlyn was not riding with him.
