Re: Election of the Chairman / Committee members
Stem saam met Johan se nominasies - klink goed - probleempie - dag dan Dave het laasjaar bedank as lid van en voorsitter van die padkomitee - maar geen rede hoekom hy nie voorsitter van die klub kan wees nie.

Re: Election of the Chairman / Committee members
Lets leave the voting to the members for committee members.
After that the chairman decision is done at committee level. Will achieve nothing 'debating' committee members etc here.

Re: Election of the Chairman / Committee members
Congratulations to the entire committee on their election!
In particular, I congratulate the previous committee members who bravely and successfully stood for re-election in the face of very negative behind-the-scenes campaigning.
It is a sad fact that 'new blood' very often comes with the loss of capable, competent and willing workers.
I am glad that the Club's members have recognised these strengths in the dedicated re-elected Committee members.
Dave Swart is a fine man with whom I have worked in the past.
I voted for him myself in the election and I am overjoyed that the rest of the committee have chosen him as Chairman.
I pledge him my support and assistance in whatever he may need.
This club is not a fiefdom. It is not an entity to be manipulated and moulded in a Machiavellian manner.
The Club's members as a whole choose who should be entrusted with its management.
The Committee chooses in what responsibilities each member of the team should perform.
The Club's members have spoken.
Long live democracy!

Re: Election of the Chairman / Committee members
Need to speak to Malema and JZ to see how my family and friends will benefit from this.....
...but on a serious note, thanks for all the wishes and support for me and the committee. Although there is usually a 'numero uno' in all organisations and committees, this position is usually a figurehead. The decisions are the input from the whole committee and not just one person's.
With the committee we have for this year - a combination of 'old' and new, I am sure that the Club will be well served with the blend of experience and new ideas.
