Boyz on Bikes - What an adventure! Empty Boyz on Bikes - What an adventure!

Maybe you've read about the vision of a father's commitment to his adolescent sons:
Mark Bristow and his two sons, Grant and Craig and 3 friends Les Johnson, Rob Alexander and Paul Harbidge are in Egypt now!
and that after 7 weeks and almost 15000kms!
They left Cape Town on 25 May on their journey from Cape to Cairo on BMW F800GS's.. (what else?)

Their route:
Boyz on Bikes - What an adventure! 3boyz

"We’re doing this for a number of reasons. One of them is to raise awareness of and funding for the Julian Baring Scholarship Fund. Over the past nine years The Julian Baring Scholarship has, with the support of friends, put 17 African students through the post grad geology course at Rhodes University and helped talented individuals that would not otherwise have been able to afford to, get into one of Africa’s top universities. This is a cause which is obviously close to my heart, publicity and industry support will not only secure the Fund’s ability to sustain this vitally important work but will enable it to expand its scope.

It is for this reason that 3boyzonbikes have decided to donate any money raised by our trip – which, by the way, is unassisted and unsponsored – to the Julian Baring Scholarship Fund. I would very much appreciate it if you would be so generous as to show your own support for the aims of the Fund by helping spread the word about our ride. You can find the appropriate link at www.thejulianbaringfund.com, where you will also be able to learn more about the Fund’s operations and successes."

All I can say is: wow.. another group of adventurers who live their dream.
Amazing.
