New website, new forum!
Morning everyone,
The new website was taken live last night, and with it the new forum. We won't be closing this forum down, but will start locking topics for posting in a week or 4 or so! Obviously this forum has a lot of information that we unfortunately cannot transfer, so we will be keeping it active for reference purposes. On the new site is a link to this forum, so it's always just one click away.
So what should you do now?
1) Go check out the new website: http://www.bmwclubs.co.za
2) Register (in the area just below the menu)
3) Update your profile, pic, etc. (this is optional )
4) Go to the forum and familiarize yourself with the tabs on top, the slightly condensed category structure and the functionality
5) Whether you're scratching in a corner of the web site, or on the forum, keep an eye out for typo's, errors, broken links, etc. and let me know!
This can potentially be traumatic for the longer-standing members of the forum, especially since our post counts start at ZERO again. And all the more incentive for the newer members to get a head start before LeRoy / Dave / TJ starts posting.
I haven't forgotten about all your suggestions of what you like and don't like. I'm sure some of it has been addressed already (and we probably created some more!), but I really wanted to take the website live before the club evening, and over time it will grow and improve.
Thank you for understanding!

Re: New website, new forum!
If you receive a 404 Error, the old links are still cached and used even though they don't exist anymore.
To fix, try clearing your browser's cache (tools > options).
Alternatively, after you've typed the address and hit enter, quickly hit shift+refresh_button or Ctrl-F5.
I'll see if I can add a redirect page too.

Re: New website, new forum!
Hi Bon, what exactly do you mean by keeping the "old format".
Just meaning we must KEEP the old posts
or
meaning that you prefer phpBB to Kunena forum?

I do not know what "phpBB to Kunena" means, BUT for me the presentation we used to use is more easy to play!
Probably, it might be REACTION to change...

Ctrl+ALT+DEL as dit nie help nie, is die probleem tussen die "keyboard" en die Stoel!

Re: New website, new forum!
Geen probleem - is al die 3de keer - gaan nie oor wen nie - gaan oor lekker gesels oor dit wat vir ons almal belangrik is - gaan dalk minder aktief wees - te veel ander dinge nou wat intussen bygekom het.
