Sept 6 Memorable buildings
Trudie en ek het vandag die recce gedoen en was aangenaam verras met hoe 'n nice omgewing die middestede van Pretoria en Johannesburg op 'n vroeg Sondagoggend is. Geen verkeer, geen rumoerende massas, rustige gesinchroniseerde verkeersligte en dan 'n wonderbaarlike skoon omgewing met min papiere en rommel wat rondlê.
Dis ook interessant om te sien hoeveel geboue tans gerestoureer/opgradeer word in Johannesburg CBD. Dit lyk of daadie plek besig is om kop op te tel! Dit is immers een van die mooiste middestede in RSA, seker vanweë al die geld wat met die draai van die eeu daar investeer is. Goudstad inderdaad! Interessant dat die eerste 'wolkekrabber' in Jhb wat in 1929 opgerig is en vir die laaste 15 jaar vervalle gestaan het nou deur Ou Mutual gerestoureer gaan word tot sy volle glorie. Ons gaan by hom stop
Moenie ons 'S's ride op 6 September misloop nie.
Dit beloof om 'n rustige maar ook insiggewende rit te wees
Ons moes die recce vandag doen want eersk naweek gaan ons 'G' in die Mutalerivier in die verre Noorde van Venda, naby die Pafurihek. Enige GS'e wat wil saamgaan? Ons kamp waar ons ons 15h00 elke dag bevind, net daar!

Sounds very interesting.
Don't know when last I even went into JHB CBD.
I think it was last year's train trip, and that was only into Braamfontein !
Would like to see what has happened to the Carlton Centre ,drive over the Mandela bridge and see the Market Theatre area.

149km. Includes R21/24 & Ben Schoeman. Balance all suburban.
Few stops & leg stretchers, no amenities though during the ride.
Allow 2.5h at least untill the breakie

Sterkte daarmee - altyd 'n issue. Maak nie saak hoe jy die donners brief nie - altyd een ou wat nie stop nie. Gaan beslis probeer saamry
