R1200RT Question - Page 2 Empty Re: R1200RT Question

Yes Rudi as far as having an eye catcher I am sure the new owner is very happy, but as much as I wanted to give my front teeth as a teenager to have one of those, I now don't understand why one wants the inconvenience of a car in traffic combined with the qualities and vulnerabilities of a bike in one vehicle. But I guess it is a matter of taste and choice. Now, many years later, I'd rather stick to my bike for the convenience & outdoors and use my car for what it was intended Very Happy

It is the only LT trike in SA. The new owner must be happy!

It was parked outside Bavarian just last week.
I know someone who took pics...

R1200RT Question - Page 2 Empty Re: R1200RT Question

For those of you that are familiar with the work of Douglas Adams - he co-wrote a book with John Lloyd called The Meaning of Liff
(no spelling mistake in the name). The introduction states the following:

"In Life, there are many hundreds of common experiences, feelings, situations and even objects which we all know and recognize, but for which no words exist. On the other hand, the world is littered with thousands of spare words which spend their time doing nothing but loafing about on signposts pointing at places. Our job, as we see it, is to get these words down off the signposts and into the mouths of babes and sucklings and so on, where they can start earning their keep in everyday conversation and make a more positive contribution to society."

I found one quite apt phrase:

NEMPNETT THRUBWELL (noun)
The feeling experienced when driving off for the first time on a brand new motorbike.

As a teaser, here is one more:

ABILENE (adj.)
Descriptive of the pleasing coolness on the reverse side of the pillow.
