R1200RT: Factory fitted radio/CD Empty R1200RT: Factory fitted radio/CD

My bike is fitted with the radio/cd and works like a charm, audible up to +-150km/h. I believe this unit is similar to those fitted to the LT's as standard, except for the buttons.

My question: Going through the modes on the 'CD' button it shows, radio, cd, auxilliary & intercom. The instruction manual only mentions Aux and Intercom as facilities but doesn't elaborate. How does this work, if at all? And what aux can be connected as there are no visible ports/pugs of any sort on the dash?

Hi TJ,

Baehr has a specific unit called "Baehr Silverline R1200RT" communication system unit, specifically made for the R1200RT for complete “plug and play”. In conjunction with the original BMW audio unit, it’s up to you whether the music is played through the external speakers during a picnic, or through the helmet speakers while on the road.

Follow this link for more information on the system http://www.gps4africa.co.za/index.php?page=shop.product_details&flypage=shop.flypage&product_id=95&category_id=38&manufacturer_id=0&option=com_virtuemart&Itemid=26

Hope this helps?
