Re: Track day with a difference
It is the cleaning of spokes that would freak me out. Love a clean shiny bike but then I currently ride a roadie so when it gets wet and muddy I hide. Will get a 1200 GS when I am a big people and then will join in riding in mud and
puddles.
puddles.

Re: Track day with a difference
Not a problem with someone that thinks otherwise but I also like a clean and shiny bike…..GS or other. Tony, of late, I’m also a GS “parallel” rider albeit still only a “half-blood”. I will not back off a ride that makes the bike dirty but as soon as I get home, it must be cleaned. Became a very good Prepsol customer lately.
Suppose in some GS circles, that will forever exclude me as a proper GS rider
It’s a never ending time consuming process and not really a job I enjoy but it’s surprising how many potential problems can be prevented this way…….small things are picked up immediately before they become problems

Re: Track day with a difference
A friend once said "a clean GS is a clear sign of a sick mind".
Serious though , I waited till the bike needed a clean anyway and it did take me about 2 hours cleaning the bike. Since I cross that piece of road daily to commute, the bike never is quite spotless though, as track day photos proof!

Very radical photo - wonder how much mud you got on your glasses - seems your visor was open. Once drove in the rain from Piet Retief to Sodwana - LT was about just as dirty then - took me the better part of 2 hours to clean it as well.
