HI to all the GS riders,

Firstly and most importantly I would like to thank Marnus and his wife for all that they did for me after I bought a farm at Bela bela. It was much appreciated that his wife drove all the way from PRETORIA to come and fetch us and Marnus for ensuring that I was taken care of at the hospital. Marnus ek waardeer wat jy en jou vrou vir my gedoen het. I would not have been able to ride my bike back home. A big thanks to Roger for collecting my bike and to all the other persons on the trip for their help and support after the mishap. People we have a great club and members and your support was appreciated.

After x rays it was determined that I had shattered the bones on my left hand second finger and damaged the tendons of my thumb. I had also broken 5 ribs on my right hand side.

I was operated on the same night and discharged from hospital the next morning. I went back to work on monday 16/03/2009 and I am recovering nicely. The only bad news is that I will not be able to join you all on your next trip.

ENJOY AND GOD BLESS

MAX

Hi Max,

Great to hear you are recovery well from your fall.

Looks like I was the lucky one only walking (actually limping) away with hair line fracture in my right foot and a broken rib besides plenty bruising. The pain has been decreasing daily and I am walking much better, though step downwards is still odd due to bandage bracing I have on.

Yes, the club is full of special helpful people. To which I am a proud to be a member of.

Been wondering how you are - great to hear and all the best, hope that hand heals soon and not too much lasting effect, especially on your riding!

Even though Max was in serious pain at Klein Kariba, he still had the presence of mind to give me some cable ties to help me fix my coolant pipe - tx Max and RESPECT! cheers

Hey Max, glad you are recovering well and hope to see you at the next club meeting. We can always twist your arm to see if you can join us on the club ride!!! Smile

When I left you at the hospital, I thought you only had 2 broken ribs. Your wife must be angrier than I thought HAHAHAHA!!!!
