Some more Waterberg trip pictures
Leo did a wonderful job of writing a ride report, so I'll just add some of my pictures and impressions.
It really was a nice morning turning into a great day for riding. It was also nice to see the road trip guys pitching up as we were leaving.
Shangali taking an early morning stroll and being unknowingly colour-coordinated with the F800.
Happy-go-Lucky not limping around at the Warmbad fuel stop. Did you know it takes that Wimpy 10 minutes to make coffee?
Inflating the suspension, deflating tires and generally getting ready for the Waterberge.
Here's one: how many GS riders does it take to deflate a tire? Three
Spietkops in training
Slippery road ahead (note the sign far right) - I cannot begin to think what these roads are like after good rains.
Another unheeded traffic sign...
Max pulling in with the wounded 1150. Despite his injuries, he managed to negotiate some "surprising" terrain. Hats off!
Disembarking at Klein Kariba. I was once again reminded how good arrangements can make things so easy. From entrance to parking to eating - no hiccups.
Drix impersonating the suspension of his F800, or rather the radiator hose that started leaking (and got fixed straight away).
The gang having breakfa...brunch.
Meeeeeeeedic! Interesting how the seam of his boot just got torn out all along the zip. I really appreciate my MX boots even though they are not that comfy!
Typical Sunday afternoon activity. Sitting around and being generally lazy and eating ice cream every now and again...
Awaiting the med-evac. Good thing that Corlia and I had some pain killers at hand. Gotta have a tool kit. Gotta have a medikit.
I thoroughly enjoyed this trip - even the sandy bits. Thank you Adriaan & Pieter for leading/sweeping! And a very big thumbs-up to the bikes with 2-up - You guys rock!
I'm sure the wounded will be up and running in no time, and hopefully their trusty steeds will also enjoy some TLC.

Re: Some more Waterberg trip pictures
Many thanks from my side as well to Adriaan and Pieter for leading and sweeping…and to all who came along and made this a very enjoyable trip. All the best to Max and Alun, hope you feel better soon! I would grade many parts of the trip a 3 out of 5 and about as challenging as I would attempt with a pillion
