Fishing in the Pienaars River
A week-end or so a go, a few of the club members went riding with the small bikes at the Riverside Mixer.
It was a very enjoyable ride and it even included a bit of fishing.
Guess what we cought ?? - a KTM950 Super Enduro !!!!
Pieter and Colin "stuck in a rut"
Colin and Andre giving a helping hand
Nico on the KTM950 Super Enduro making it look easy
OOPS !!!!

Re: Fishing in the Pienaars River
I must say that this swimming exercise by the KTM had absolutely nothing to do with the bike. It was more a case of an "over-excited" rider

Re: Fishing in the Pienaars River
Except the X challenge (The HP-2 is marginal because of the cylinders) no other BMW would actually be able to ride that specific section.
You need a very light bike with lots of ground clearance.
Nico just had a but too much speed over a tree on a serious off-camber section.
I can also say that Nico is without doubt the most talented Adventure bike rider in our club. You might ask some Zwartkops A group riders what he did with his 1150 Adventure about 3 years ago

Pieter - it seems you are making a habit of swimming with bikes in the Pienaarsrivier - maybe Admin must retrieve the old post on the old website. LeRoy

Thankfully it was not Pieter that swam this time !!!
Poor old Nico was not impressed after about 10 guys had to try and pull him and his bike out of the river !!

Re: Fishing in the Pienaars River
Quite true - but rather remember the life jackets next time. Personally speaking looking at the terrain you were riding on there - To each his own. Tried off roading when i was younger - now thoroughly enjoy the LT and Tarmac. Regards.

Re: Fishing in the Pienaars River
Good fun for the muddy buddies...
But I tend to agree that this kind of riding justifies the acquisition of a light and gutsy machine...that's easy to clean!
