After having been to 4 Buffalo rallies in Mossel Bay and having been down west coast, east coast, Karoo etc a 'new' option was seriously lacking.

That option has materialised in the form of JB Train tours trip to the Buffalo Rally and maybe a look-in at the bikefest in Oudtshoorn.

So, me and Dorothy and maybe Wahl will be slumming it on the train this year to the Buff. Beats the boring long roads of nothing there and back to the good riding areas.

Train leaves Wednesday, 17 March and returns to Jhb on Monday, 22 March 2010.

More info here for those interested:

http://www.jbtours.co.za/

Cost breakdown not much different to riding to Buff.

Yes - just janking your chain. With al the riding/touring you do - not very main routes you have not covered.

Not quite - think of it as a party on the move.... Twisted Evil

Still a least a 270km ride from Beaufort West to Mossel Bay - that is if you take the direct route. Wink

Anyway - always looking to do something different. Arrive in BW at 3am on the Thursday so give chance to ride some nice routes.

Board train again on Sunday night at 10pm - nice days riding again from MB to BW - chance to do some routes not always done when living in GP.

Oh NO!!! Going by train means I won't be able to enter the "lady who did the longest route to the Buff" competition this year... ag nee!

Oh well, I'll just have to enter the "lady with the nicest bike's'" competition instead... what a dilemma [sigh!] will I use the R1200S or will it be the GS Exclamation S vs. GS, S vs. GS....

Hmmm! but see, David is working on some reeeeally awesome riding for us in the area and well, the GS is just a bit more comfy for that sort of riding... but then again the R1200S is just so light and so nippy and so quick... (18'clicks on the clock) [sigh!] - What can a girl do? Question Exclamation

Seems Dave just added to the confusion now - and we all know ho difficult it is for the ladies to make up their minds. Seems Dave will have to sell the GS's to quel the confusion.

By trailer/by train - spelling is nearly the same - so presume one can see it in the same light.

I'm selling nothing! The GS will still be used once the initial 'excitement' of riding a new bike wears off. For Dorothy the R1200S is also a new experience. She did not think that she would enjoy riding it, but now knows better. Cool
