Madmike, phone them here:
The Windmill Wine Shop & Cottages – 013 737 8175
And ask to speak with the people that organize the GS Challenge. They will help you with the paper work.

Hahahaha too much RR for you lately I see
Even if I have to castrate my 450 with indicators and mirrors and ride it there, I'm going.

Re: 5th Annual GS Challenge: 11 - 14 March
Got the routes via e-mail from the organizers and they look WOW!
I've did a quick route calc on Mapsource and it seems to be around 364km from Pretoria to there - about 4 hours non-stop.
So give and take a couple of leg stretches (+1 hour), to be there at around 14:00, I would be leaving around 09:00 from Pretoria on Thursday morning (at least missing the traffic too!).
As I've said I will be taking my bike down there on the trailer, so there is space for one more bike and luggage if you want to load it on the back. Alternatively we can also ride together, or ultimately meet up over there. Just pm/email me if you need assistance.
Happy packing!

Marnus, your excitement is contagious!

Leaving for Cape Town later and heavy winds 43km/h predicted for tomorrow!
Please hope the wind goes to rest by Argus-Sunday?!)

Re: 5th Annual GS Challenge: 11 - 14 March
I'm not sure whether Madmike could organize, but I know Ansuretha will be there with her 1200.
I'm also sort of packed already. Had to remember some additional things like spare tubes and tire irons. Tubeless was much less of a hassle
Yes, the black route... Too bad Google Earth doesn't show the topography so nicely. I guess in addition to the river crossings of the red route, there will be some uphill / downhill action on the black route. I'm feeling quite adventurous myself - may even participate in the hare scramble
Deon, Bruno do I meet you there? Whomever is there first must please keep tent space for the others!
