I'm not entirely sure how this works because Sias usually posts our pics, but I think you should post your pics in photobucket and then use the URL?? Seriously, I absolutely have no clue. But I'm sure Marnus, GSLady, TJ, or anybody else for that matter will be able to explain????? Kom nou julle, help die man!!

Very nice, can only imagine how much time and test-runs it must have taken to actually get this right and perfect!!

Your favourite photos
Hi all, like bmwlefty I have also tried to post some photos, and have also attempted to get it on via the URL, with the result, I now think there is some photos floating somewhere in the web-world. Perhaps somehow someday the "bucket" will be emptied in the right place, so if anyone finds pictures floating around aimlesly in the web-world (one will be of a GS with a buck carcass as a pilion) please place it in the forum.

Hi again all, perhaps Sias or someone can post a step by step instruction to post photos, I suspect there is a number of persons (not just us guys from down under) to whom it will be of great assistance.

Re: Your favourite photos
OK OK OK, let's see if we can re-capture those flying pics. I'm dying to see the carcass on the GS...
I trust you are already registered on www.photobucket.com ?
1. Log in
2. Click on "Upload Images and Videos"
3. Highlight a picture in the block or somewhere in your Documents or just double click on the pic's name
4. After the picture is uploaded the page will change where you can name your picture. Remember, the larger the bytes, the longer the upload takes. After you named or whatever, or you don't have to do anything, scroll to the bottom and click on "Save"
5. The screen returns to the frontpage and there is your picture as a thumbprint - ready to be copied!
6. Move the cursor over the image. A dropdown block below will appear with some options. We use the "IMG Code" Nothing else!
7. Left click on the url-block just right of the "IMG Code". The block will be highlighted in blue. Right click and choose "Copy".
The url of the image on Photobucket is now copied to the clipboard of your PC.
Login to the forum and start a new thread or a post to an existing thread.
With the cursor anywhere in the writing block right click and select "paste". The image's url will be pasted. You won't see the image yet. Only the url will be there.
Do your write up before or after the paste and then hit "Send"
Your post will appear in the thread and the picture will be posted.
If the picture is not there, then start at the beginning of this post and read this post with more attention!
Good Luck!!

Facebook still much easier - tried the Photobucket thing a few years ago - followed all the steps diligently - but to no avail - hence FB. Copy and Paste - so maklik soos dit.

Re: Your favourite photos
Another tip to post via Photobucket...
If you've uploaded a couple of pics, after you've hit Save, check that the order is fine (for some reason mine posts newest pics first). To fix, go to Organize tab up top and change the sort order to Oldest first. Now the pictures are in sequence.
Then check the "Select All" box at the bottom to select all the pictures, and click on "Generate HTML and IMG code". On the next page, copy & paste the entire block of links in the "IMG images for message boards" block. Paste in the forum topic and add the descriptive text inbetween the links. You can even go back a page on Photobucket to see the thumbs of the pics so you can keep track of which comment belongs where.
Voila!

A few years ago?? Photobucket has been upgraded a few times since then. You might want to try again.
