My new farkles...
I've just finished installing my 'Hyperlites' auxilliary braking lights.
I pondered for months just where to place them where they would be seen very well, but would not be open to passing damage.
Eventually I decided to mount them on to my (permanently mounted) top-box.
They flash on applying the brakes for 5 seconds and then go solid.
They are BRIGHT !

Re: My new farkles...
nice example of what is farkle on a GS might be bling on a K12S
anything that can help with safety and in this case enhancing the bike's visibility, is good......and it does not look out of place underneath the top box.

Re: My new farkles...
I like it! Like MadnohB says: It is good to be visible, especially from the back for when you need to drive in mist and some kamakazi pilot comes along.
Re: My new farkles...
One can never be visible enough, so I like it too. I have also seen integrated LEDs on some superbikes, where the current light cluster of the bike is replaced with a LED cluster, and they do the same. I have also seen some where the back light doubles up as indicators by having the appropriate side of the LEDs flashing amber. Amasing what they do nowadays with these bright LEDs.

Re: My new farkles...
I wonder if BMW will come out with indicator lights on the mirrors one day? If you are next to a car they cannot see if you have your indicators on or not.
Re: My new farkles...
The R1200S and K1200S already have the indicators at the rear of the mirrors to mention 2........

Re: My new farkles...
This is from Clear Alternatives and I bought it from Evoluzione - a supplier in the US.
Evoluzione
However, if it's only the the clear indicator lenses you want, look for a local Wunderlich supplier. Not sure if Bavarian imports the full range but I know you can get it from Auto Alpina. .............apart from having a clear lens, the tail/brake light in picture, is also LED
