7 May - Female Ride Day!

International Female Ride Day occurs every year on the first Friday in May - this the first year also in South Africa!
It’s simply a day to celebrate the fun of riding; and all women, on any kind of motorcycle, are invited to participate.

'International Female Ride Day is a campaign for women, whose sole purpose is aimed at highlighting and profile the female motorcycle rider.
Its mission is that of building and underlining broad-spectrum (and public) awareness of female motorcyclists while simultaneously encouraging other women to take up the activity; demonstrating the ease of the activity.

The event shines a spotlight on women motorcyclists—it’s a synchronized global day for women, of women, everywhere. A day emphasizing the many numbers of female's who ride motorcycles--supporting their diversities, agelessness, limitless abilities and the enjoyment embraced for the activity.'

Who knows more about this? Any way the ladies of our Club want to join?

I read about it in the newsletter of TB. The Hardly Dangerous club of Cape Town is doing a ride and invited all ladies.

So where are we going????
Maybe Dullstroom for b/fast?? and a little shopping????

I wish!!
My technical adviser reminded me of the (bad) condition of my bike's tyres.
Will see if I can fit new tyres before Friday - those knobblies are on their last threads!

Will definitely arrive at The Place (Friday breakfast) on bike!

There was also a suggestion to join ThinkBike
at Mugg & Bean, Cherry Lane (cnr Fehrsen and Middel) – opposite Brooklyn Mall –
between 6:30 and 7:30
for those interested.
