S1000RR Test Empty S1000RR Test

We tested the new S1000RR today at ODI. Standing kilometer top end of 284km/hour.
Three runs were done by Peter de la Rey on the S1000RR and they were 282, 283 and 284km/hour on a stock model.

This is one great bike. Very Happy

Thanks Biza - heard yesterday they were doing the run today and was wondering how it went.

Do you reckon that if they did another 16 runs they would have got to 300? Wink

Still need to get a lot more used to the bike and more than that, improve my abilities on the bike before trying a top end run like that.

Theirs was in a controlled environment as well.

So far I have not gone anywhere near their speeds. Cool

Old Airstrip in the former Bophutatshwana, on the road from Garankua to Hebron.
It was resurfaced and drag racing meetings are held there.
