That will be great to have you along!

We have obtained the services of a back-up driver (Johan van Jaarsveldt). Johan and his son will join us with a bakkie, our trailer and a 800GS. They will take turns riding the 800GS. They are not (yet) members of our club.

I have updated the final figures for the trip on page 1. This is the TOTAL expected cost for the trip, including the fuel, accommodation, breakfast, dinners, lunches and border crossings.

Also included in the first post on this topic you will find the foreign exchange you need to have available. Please note that if you book and pay the accommodation ahead of time, you can deduct that money from the foreign exchange required.

Can those that are still interested please send me their contact details so that we can arrange a cup of coffee to discuss any issues or questions and suggestions that you might have?

Hi Johan

Two questions re money matters:

1. I would prefer to pay for accommodation at the site with my Master Card. any reason why we should pay beforehand - is it about reservations?

2. I would also prefer to get only dollars, no Pula's - Do they accept dollars in Botswana?

The trip will still go ahead. We are having a meeting after the Friday evening club meeting to discuss some issues. Every person will do their own booking.
