Jade Gudzeit racing for Yamaha in 2010? Empty Jade Gudzeit racing for Yamaha in 2010?

Post by Marnus 7th January 2010, 12:59

It seems like Jade Gudzeit, BMW's best rider for 2009 on the G450X is signing up with Yamaha for 2010. What a loss. And I understand Gray Dick is still recovering from a back operation. I wonder what's going to happen with the local BMW Motorrad Enduro racing team?

Saw the following on e-dirt:

Jade Gutzeit has made a move to DCM Yamaha Team for 2010. He has the privilege and honor in taking his personal sponsors with him to the Yamaha DCM Chrome team. These sponsors include but not limited to Full Throttle, Fly and Oakley.

It is also known that Jade and BMW left on very good terms. DCM Chrome Yamaha team has offered Jade an opportunity to race some international races. I also know that Jade enjoyed racing the BMW in 2009.

Good Luck to Jade and Louwrens for 2010.

Comments

Rob Holder (General Manager – BMW Motorrad)

“We
are very pleased to have Gray and Wynand on our team for 2010 and look
forward to another successful season with the BMW G450X. Gray will come
back strong at the end of May and we believe that Wynand will be an
asset to our team. He is young and committed and has proven that he has
a great racing future ahead of him.”

Erwin Minnie (Team Manager / Press)

“I
am looking forward to a great season! BMW Motorrad has really shown
that they are serious about racing and have given Gray and Wynand
tremendous support for the year. With the added support from Bavarian
Motorcycles we will have a really good setup and a very visible
presence at the races.”

Gray Dick

“My
back operation was a success and as soon as the brace comes off at the
end of January I will begin training with a bio kineticisct and going
to gym. I will be back on the bike sometime during May. I am really
motivated and look forward to racing the 2010 G450X. I had a bit of bad
luck last year but I am confident that I will do well when I start
racing again. I am also very happy to have Wynand on the team, he is a
great guy and I will be helping him with preparation and setup. Erwin
and I will be at all the races to support him whilst I am recovering”

Wynand Delport

“I can’t wait for the season to start! I spent the last 4 years racing for the Shimwells
Yamaha Team and would like to thank Andre and Braham for all their
fantastic support! I have now been given a fantastic opportunity to
ride for the BMW Motorrad Team. It was time for me to move up from the
250cc class and I believe that I will do well on the G450X. I have done
some testing on the bike and I feel very confident and comfortable. It
is also great to have Gray as my teammate and I know that I will learn
a lot from him,”

The
team is also proud to announce that Roger Smith and Simon Pilfold from
Bavarian Motorcycles will be offering the team full race support at all
the National Off-Road and Enduro events. They will be sponsoring a
fully equipped race support van, mechanic, gazebos, race shirts,
graphics etc. They will also race prep the bikes. They will also be
assisting Gray and Wynand with trick parts for their bikes from
Speedbrain in
Germany.

We
would like to take this opportunity to thank Rob Holder, Rob Barnes,
Cora Forssman and everyone else at BMW Motorrad for their commitment
and fantastic sponsorship.

We look forward to a great season and please feel free to pop into our pits for a chat – see you at the races.
