Here we go again! Crying or Very sad

The offending posts were already removed before I could read the rest of this thread, but it seems that another brilliant ride report( Thanks,Johan) has been nullified by comments made in the guise of Humour/ Banter.

These reports, in my opinion, are of interest to those members who cannot always attend these trips, road of off-road.
The Forum has already lost the input from members who previously, in my opinion, posted very interesting trip reports.
I personally enjoy reading ALL the reports, road and off-road. Each is special in it's own way.
Members who make the effort to photograph and document their trips, share it on the Forum, should be RESPECTED for that!

My humble 2c worth.

PS: welcome back Dave and Jamie!!??

One must be wary that the value of the trip done and the feedback provided by way of photographs and the Johans comments inbetween do not go wasted due to the aside converstaion that has now inadvertently developed.

Women's day memoirs - Page 2 Empty Re: Women's day memoirs

Post by tj 18th August 2009, 15:09

Die betrokke persoon weet nou daarvan en dis juis sy reaksie wat my noop om hierdie te skryf;

Of altans so het dit vir my gelyk. Dit het my so gefassineer dat ek 'n foto daarvan móés neem.
Photobucket

Toe ek Johan bedank het in 'n epos het ek só geskryf:

"Johan

Weereens baie dankie vir jou tyd verlede Maandag.

Lees gerus ons verslag oor die toer by http://bmwclubs.heavenforum.org/women-s-day-trip-f137/women-s-day-memoirs-t980.htm

Groete en weereens baie dankie

Ps. Is ek dalk kleurblind? Ek is seker jy het ‘n goeie storie. Ons wag in spanning. (Ek glo jy sal hierdie in tipiese BMW-humor sien
)"

Groetnis

Post by LeRoy Olivier 18th August 2009, 17:48

Women's day memoirs - Page 2 Empty Re: Women's day memoirs

Post by DeonP 19th August 2009, 00:02

I fully agree with Mike's comments.
I don't think some people appreciate what it takes to post photos and a trip report. Furthermore, any posting that may be of interest to other Club Members/ Bikers in general.
I check this Forum on a daily basis to see where people have travelled to and what they have experienced.

I enjoyed posts such as LEO ( Leon) who has done numerous FANTASTIC trips inspiring one to get on a bike and RIDE !

I enjoyed postings from MadnohB ( Jamie) which were always informative and interesting.

Ditto for Dave. All their ( Dave & Dorothy) trips were ALWAYS well planned and executed. The trip reports were also posted soon after for ALL to enjoy.

I enjoyed postings from WAHL who posted DAILY reports on his trips. Every day one could log on and see where Wahl had been.

Dont be fooled, I dont think Dave or Jamie are back.( I do hope they and Wahl return as they have left a HUGE void !)

There shouldn't even be the need to remove postings on the Forum if people just behaved in a respectful manner. Dani we also support you and you are doing a wonderful job on the Webpage and Forum - I'm sure often a thankless job. We do appreciate you. You unfortunately have to intervene now and then, but it shouldn't be necessary if people just posted correctly.

Sarcastic, Bantering, teasing or whatever you want to call it has no place here and is NOT appreciated. What a pity that so many contributers have been chased away by this behaviour. These comments can be offensive and destructive. If certain people continue in this vain, they need to be warned and if they continue - banned from using the Forum.

This Club Webpage was set up by the late Brian Canoo. I have never seen another BMW Club Webpage like it ANYWHERE !
Show some RESPECT to others .

This is not the spirit of our club - remember " SHARED RIDING PLEASURE"

If this continues, I'll be the next to leave !

Earlier in this thread TJ alluded to the GS'ing 'S' bikes. I am sure that because of lack of evidence this has been taken as 'tongue in cheek'.

Well to provide the 'evidence' of what TJ was talking about, the proof of the eating being in the pudding, here some pictures....

Jamie - last trip the K was doing water crossings, now dirt roads - what next??

Making dust - interesting to hear the traction control cutting in and out. Note the interest of the horses! Cool

These horses were most fascinating. The first herd we came across ran away but this lot come closer to the bikes to 'see' what was going on. The white one definitively seemed to be in charge. Wink

in the end, like Mr P said elsewhere on this thread, it’s all about “SHARED RIDING PLEASURE”
