Re: Formula One Fanatics?
Pleased to see that Renault have escaped their Valencia ban, alas the SM return is a disappointment I would have loved to have seen the dual between him and Kimi.

Only 2 weeks to go!
The last session of testing was held at Catalunya the past weekend and Lewis Hamilton ended with the fastest time!
It doesn’t really say anything as the top eight cars were all within half a second.
A lot happened behind the F1 scenes - so many changes in rules, drivers and teams - but it seems it was all for the better?
2010 season starting in 2 weeks time!

Re: Formula One Fanatics?
Seems I'm the only F1 fanatic..
Anyway..
They say Bahrain was boring, but I’ll get up early.. maybe not for practice 1 though.
Practice 1 Friday 03:30
Practice 2 Friday 07:30
Lots of questions about the boring aspect going around ... and this is what Alonso says: (formula1.com)
Q: Would you agree with a number of people that making two pit stops compulsory would make all the difference?
FA: Difficult to know and to answer. I don’t think so. If you have to do two stops everything will remain the same. With the qualifying format with no fuel, the fastest car holds the pole position so who will overtake that guy in the race - no one! This year we have the fastest cars starting from the best grid positions, so to overtake through that in the race is difficult - even with a creative strategy. I watched the race for analysis and for me it was not boring at all: I saw the fight between Vettel and the two Ferraris, behind was the fight between Rosberg and Hamilton in the first part, and then between Michael, Jenson and Webber in the second part, so it was a compact race with a lot of action going on. There have been many fights, unfortunately no overtaking. But this is not new because of the 2010 rules. No overtaking has been a norm over the last 15 years.
He also says (itv.com)
“Last year Jenson Button won six of the first seven races. Was that boring? Maybe yes, maybe no – this is Formula 1. Michael Schumacher won five championships consecutively. Was that boring? Maybe yes, maybe no – this is Formula 1.
This is about technology and how precise everything (needs to be) in terms of drivers, mechanics, engineering..
People that want extra show, maybe they need to reconsider if they want to watch Formula 1…
Bahrain was only the first race of the championship…
Normally here in Australia we’ve seen very special races with a high chance of a safety car….
… So I think we are now in a part of the championship where we should have some very interesting races
… After these races we will know better if it’s an entertaining show or not.”
mmm I'll watch.
Practice 3 Saturday 05:00
Qualifying Saturday 08:00 (the best of all!!)
Main Race SUNDAY Supersport 5
07:00-07:30 Inside Grand Prix
07:30-10:30 Main Race – Australia.
2 wheels/4 wheels.. I love it.

Re: Formula One Fanatics?
I didn't think it was boring at all! The gap Vettel built up throughout the race? Wow! Pity the car couldn't last the whole race. I also found the qualifyings very exciting!

Re: Formula One Fanatics?
Wow.. not only are the BULLS on top, but so are the RED BULL riders!
The team to beat... Vettel and Webber once again in 1 / 2 on the grid for China GP!
With outside favourites still Hamilton and Rosberg though..
And Massa always a factor.
Can Schumi do better than just reaching the first 10?
