%#&%#* funny socket type thingy to adjust gear lever
My fellow F800GS people,
Where do you get the $%@&%^* funny socket type thingy to adjust the gear lever?
Purchased a pair of off road boots (Gaerne Fastback) yesterday and need to adjust it – also tried using the side of the boot, but does not work so lekker . . .

Re: %#&%#* funny socket type thingy to adjust gear lever
After a VERY lengthy search, I eventually found one last year. It is called a Torx socket, size E8. Would you believe - Makro was the only people that stocked it at the time? Pretty sure you will find it there, a friend found his there recently as well. You will have to buy a little set though (the E10 size fits your handlebars - on GS 1200, at least.)

Re: %#&%#* funny socket type thingy to adjust gear lever
GSNieP, after literally looking for a month (including Makro) I found a set at Passetti Power Tools in Pretoria West.
In the mean time, you are more than welcome to come by so that we can do the adjustment.......I might be closer to you than GSing..........although a visit to Pauli is always interesting but it normally costs me some money
