Bruno BON's take on the Buff & the Hell
Bruno Bonotti sent the following..
(Some secrets are revealed!!)
First group departure at 05:30 (Willie, Bruno, Pauli, Andre Henrico and Shaun)
The second group arrived later (Colin, Etienne, Willem and Andre Beneke)
and we enjoyed a braai at Peet Beneke's house at Gariep Dam.
Next morning: The complete group ready to TAKE OFF!
On the way down to Mossel Bay
Maybe we were TOOOO fast….rs
Finely - finally - at BUFF !!!
Bad address…
Saturday we had breakfast at Oudtshoorn, before the ride ..
Swartberg Pass
Ladies and Gentlemen: “DIE HELL”
Refreshment …
At the end of line some beverage to support the group
Willie, Pauli & Willem
The Long Way Back and the closed turns!
Noisy people….

I was actually looking at those tires when we went on the Klein Kariba trip and considered fitting them for the Sani trip, but now I don't know... looks like a rather expensive wheel decoration!

Re: Bruno BON's take on the Buff & the Hell
Hey Marnus,
I'm going to use this tyre in Sani Pass!!!!
The only problem is the batch that was sent to ZA....
...and the SPEED!
Keep yourself limited to 130/140 Km/h and everything will be Ok....(I gess...rs)

Re: Bruno BON's take on the Buff & the Hell
Bruno bud, you better take some serious tire repair kit with. I'll help with the repairs, but I'm not gonna carry your bike up that pass
see you on top then!
By the way... how fast did you go when the footprint came off?

I am not willing to take this type of risk with a tyre. The manufacturer should have his tyres retested and classified ito speed and load rating at the Department of Transport.
In the meantime I will use tyres that have a proven track record.....
