Re: Emerald Sun or Stonehaven
Both Venues are on the banks of the Vaal River. We did the Emerald Sun last year and thoroughly enjoyed it. On refueling I noticed the signage for Stonehaven - a venue that Renier took the club to 3 years ago, but i had forgotten the venues name when doing last years planning. Will do a recce before the time and decide on the best venue - feedback at the next club night

Re: Emerald Sun or Stonehaven
Just check breakfast times with Stonehaven - think they pack up at 10 and then kitchen closed till 12.
Had some service issues there before - ask Deon Prommel.

Re: Emerald Sun or Stonehaven
I can only agree with Dave.
Stonehaven is such a beautiful setting, but the service is crap !
Not once, but on many occasions.
It was so bad the last time that Shawn and I rode there that we left and carried onto Parys for breakfast.

Re: Emerald Sun or Stonehaven
Did the Recce to Emerald Sun and Stonehaven today - breakfast at ES is now R110.00 pp. Buffet is served only till 10 - makes it a bit tight. Stonehaven - Buffet breakfast is served till 11:00. I have already made a provisional booking for between 30 and 40.
The route is basically the same there and back. Only issue is - from Stonehaven we will be going off to Potchefstroom to visit my daughter so we will not be leading the ride home - somebody else will have to - preferably with a GPS - ????????
