Very pretty, Jamie, it looks stunning! I hope you have many safe and special kms on the new K.
One addition I know is coming, cannot wait to hear it!!
Especially when you zap past the group after waiting at a turn, a beautiful thing

In terms of handling it’s the best I have ever ridden before and even on the notorious “22” which is superbike territory by nature, it excels with distinction.
Thank you for sharing, looks superb
Rough guess, given the comment on the handling, will you set a faster laptime on Z than on the blade?
Until later

Re: The clan is going to ET
Zwartkop is very tight......the Blade hands down. Come to think of it, any racetrack it might be the Blade. The wheelbase and the weight are counting very much against the Beemer.
Real world conditions.........might be a closer match. The 08 Blade still has longer legs on the top end though

Daai foto's lyk altyd beter as daar n klein blou hondatjie by is. Maar nou ja...lyk of dit lekker was soos altyd. Ek is baie baie jaloers!
Re: The clan is going to ET
I only found out about this thread this morning. One of my goals for the year was to waste less time on forums, only down side, you miss good threads like this one.
I saw the 1300 at breakfast this morning. You really have to have a discerning eye to recognize the differences between it and the 1200. However, it is always great to see a new bike whatever make or model.
Cool pics thanks for all the effort in editing and posting. Looks like it was a nice weekend. I would not have changed mine in the Pilansberg with friends and family for my bday for anything. I think the big 5 are one of the few things that trump a bike.

not really…..let’s see
- different front fairing
- reworked front end (dual over)
- different handle bar
- different look to the dials
- single side switch gear
- different buttons altogether in different positions
- different side fairings
- big 1300 on the side
- quick shifter
- different exhaust
- different tail light and rear indicators
- different rear tyre size
apart from the dozen or so visible changes, on the inside it has (different)…….
- ESA II (phenomenal)
- 136cc more
- 175 bhp (without mods)……..should be over 180 with a (proper) pipe and (free flow) filters
- 140 nm torque
and oh yes the price!!! (it hits you right in the face....actually a lot lower where it hurts more) ……..the fully loaded bike ie. ABS, ASC, TPC, ESA II and heated grips WITH the OE Akra, quick shifter, and LED rear indicators is sitting on R200k
I would say these are fairly significant differences
having said all this, the K1300 was not meant to be a new, never-seen-before bike, it's rather an evolution of the 1200. In another two years or so, there should be a completely new 1300 model (or maybe a 1400 )

Re: The clan is going to ET
I did not own a 1200K so the list you provided was lost on me. Still though seems like a few things were changed.
I think you are right though, it is an evolution of a concept and as such seems to have been quite succesful.
Sadly yes, forums have a habit of sucking time away. I must say this one is not the one to blame, I spend way too much time on wilddogs as that is where the passion is for me at the moment.
Perhaps one day I will ride a 1300 and see if it eclipses our natural, God made wonders. Although, this past weekend we had an elephant literally a centimeter or two from an open car window. No bike has ever given me a rush like that.
It seems though, we both enjoyed our respective weekends a great deal.
