Just by the way, Wahl apparently, is riding in the 800 for Bavarian, the 125cc can always keep him company
Oops, sorry okes. There will be a ZX14 in the group too... A Kawa
And then possibly Cobus & Michelle on a Blackbird.
Ja, the BM's will have to hang out to keep majority.

Have we met 'Chris + Golda, Paul + Lizell' before?

Re: SunCity, 25 Jan - via Magaliesburg & Koster
Yes you have met them before... Year-end function, at the club (they're members) you'll remember when you see them.
Also, the diversity comment was made in jest. Michelle and Cobus are after all nice people, I've met them before so of course it doesn't matter what bike they ride. Now on the other hand if they were "not so nice" people then well... - jisslike - when Dave and I rode with the VOX guys they banished us to the back - last bikes before the sweep... talk about unacceptance - toggie ai!

Re: SunCity, 25 Jan - via Magaliesburg & Koster
Stienie, shall I bring my towrope along? It is infact a recovery strap. So we can give you a strong pull for some added momentum, on that ... thing?? Soos 'n kettie jy weet?
Re: SunCity, 25 Jan - via Magaliesburg & Koster
We once rode with the Sandton HOG with friends (very nice people, unfortunately they ride Harley, so we don't see each other often). They also stuffed us at the rear. Believe it, an RT at the rear of HD's, I could kill myself. But theyguys were friendly and hospitable. I still don't understand their hand and feet signs?

No need for a rope, the Suzuki can do 113.5km/h..... don't worry(be happy), I shall not do any stops en route..... just keep on riding straight through. That should do the trick - see you at the breakfast venue.
.... I'll sommer start now...

Re: SunCity, 25 Jan - via Magaliesburg & Koster
From our side a BIG thank you to all on today’s informal run. It was most enjoyable.
thanks to:
Johan & Trudie for organising the run
Dorothy for transporting Stienie’s seat cowl back. Big up to Dave for helping the stranded rider with the flat
Chris & Golda for your company
Paul for the prior training you did as Lizel executed a few text book turns in the parking area
Peet & Christa for liking my bike
Wahl for sweeping
Johan on the ZX, it was nice to meet you
To my family…….always special to share a day out on the bikes with you guys
special thank you to our two sons for going back to Sun City to fetch my bike..........after a stone punctured the radiator
and lastly to the fast Mermaid for letting me share her bike back........you were most impressive today girl
notwithstanding our altercation with the law on our way back , a very nice outing
we should do this run more often.

one rider "escaped" (the wild one) and the other 2 got their numberplates impounded for not having the SABS mark on
although methinks 3 riders "escaped"....... but I not going to name them

Re: SunCity, 25 Jan - via Magaliesburg & Koster
Thanks all for a good ride and company.
Here some pics taken:
Didn't realise that the Adventure was that big!!
This bird Wahl initially picked up...
Then Gemmerkat tried to muscle in on the act
....and eventually got a 'bite'
For those that were not with, part of the breakfast deal at Sun City is free entry - and with the free entry you even get R100.00 to spend at the Casino - unbelievable.
They now pay bikers to go to Sun City!!
Some of the group went directly home after breakfast - for various reasons.
...and some decided to try to 'break the bank'

Re: SunCity, 25 Jan - via Magaliesburg & Koster
Sorry about being pulled off Jamie. Thankfully Lizell and I are both 100% legal even down to an SABS mark on the number plate. Not that I would expect you to put those air brakes on your lovely super bikes, I think that would limit the top speed to around 220!
Here is some advice, when I was looking for a smaller plate for my bike, I went to the Harley dealer, they could get small plates about your size WITH the SABS mark on them. I am not sure how but they put them on all their bikes and get away with it. Maybe think about that option.

no biggie......sometimes (most times) you win and sometimes you are on the wrong end. Not complaining though........was knowing full well beforehand I was wrong.
would not like to be seen in a Harley shop - I mean I do have a reputation to uphold but this might be a good enough reason to pay them a visit thanks for the tip

Re: SunCity, 25 Jan - via Magaliesburg & Koster
The cop did moan about the lens filter but when I told him it comes off he left it. Seems they were more interested in making money than enforcing the law but that should come as no surprise.
I will ask Lizell which Harley shop it was as she went to get the plate made.

I know this post threaten to go south in one (late night) session but it got back on track nicely……even wif pics of the ride.
Yet the only reactions were from people that took part in the run.
very interesting………..
can’t help to wonder what the reason would be……..and it’s not a lack of traffic – at least 16 peeps that were not on the ride walked through the front door since the feed back was posted.
did we do something wrong here?

Re: SunCity, 25 Jan - via Magaliesburg & Koster
Sorry for the hijack. It seems as if you blokes there up North has as much hassles from the traffic cops as we do in the far South.
During the previous weekend we went on a very short run (80Km) and went through 2 road blocks and just missing a third.
Bikes are on top of their list and legal plates is the first thing they are looking for.
I am 100% legal but these road blocks just waste my time and interfere with the enjoyment of the ride.

Not at all!.. Wish I could make it with you all! Been on the long road to the south last few days.. in a cage!
I agree - this ride can become a regular (informal) one? - with legal numberplates of course?

Hi all!
This seems like a very nice outing! We (Corlia and I) are going to Sin City for breakfast on Sunday (1 Feb). We are visiting friends in Rustenburg so will be departing from there. Any suggestions on what route to take? I would like to know what route you guys took and what your thoughts were.
Oh, and maybe were the coppers were…

Sias. I can forward the GPS route if you would like? To your private mail?
The coppers are lately all over but mostly around Rustenburg and outskirts.

I know my bike can’t really reach speeds which will guarantee an overnighter in the tjoekie! Although, if I really try, I juuuuust might qualify. Anyway, just want to make sure the urges to do so don’t get the best of me in the wrong places.
