"The reasons for this are manifold, but the heart of the matter rests on two major areas - the engine, and the ESA II suspension. The extra capacity increase has made the motors much easier to use and civilised than before, yet also multiplied their madness by a huge factor. On the GT in particular, the performance is simply staggering on a bike of its size. I managed to get a genuine 160mph showing on the Garmin satnav on one piece of Portuguese motorway - that's 160mph on a bike that could hold a week's worth of kit, with heated seat, barn-door fairing and more gizmos than a medium-sized Maplins store. The new engine is smoother, has a nicer gearchange, and still returns solid fuel consumption figures. Even racing each other on motorways and cruising at 120mph for long stretches, the mpg meter was showing mid-to-high 30s. If I was being harsh, I'd perhaps suggest that the fuelling is a little clunky in places - there's a hint of jerkiness sometimes when getting back onto the gas. It's a minor criticism though, and didn't really bother me much on the two-day ride."

Re: For the GT fans

Re: For the GT fans
Personally - never liked popping wheelies - even before the LT - but the skills it takes to do so effortlessly must be applauded.
