Winter Chill Out: 14-16 June, Natal Spa
Here some pictures of our trip this weekend.
The group meeting at Atterbury Shell
The start of the Sunday ride to Pongola
Dorothy at one of our stops
one of the locals..
Resting..
Dorothy on the move
....being followed closely by Albert and Kobus
A stop next the sugar cane fields near Pongola
Dorothy on the move again
...closely followed by Stienie
..Albert and Kobus
...and Jamie playing catch-up after taking some photos..
Some of the scenery we saw
Dorothy at one of our stops
the bikes..
...and a waterfall in the distance (you need to look very carefully )
After the ride the GS section went for a ride..
All in all a great weekend with good company. Thanks to all who came with on this ride - 11 people, 9 bikes...
and thanks to Danie Peach who rode with for breakfast in Ermelo then went back to Pretoria.

Re: Winter Chill Out: 14-16 June, Natal Spa
A big thank you to Dave and everybody that organised and made this weekend a trip to remember.
Anyway here are my contribution of Pictures.
At Atterbury before we left
Dave making sure he packed everything
At Leandra waiting for everybody....
THE 800ST
Dinner Saturday night and the good kuier around the fire.
Waking up sunday morning I could see clearly from my room it was the ideal day for a ride
We had to have breakfast first
Then off to Pongola on one of the best roads I rode OK the bikes are standing here but check out the pics from Dave
When we got to Pongola we saw this Harley rider who had to get home in time for work today
On the way back we stopped for a break and saw this pretty waterfall in the distance.
The lucky ones who went on the ride
I always wanted to take a picture with the bike's mirror and looking back so here it is
Once back at the hotel while the GS's went for their / his ride I admired the local wildlife
That evening the hotel gave us a braai
Sadly we had to come back to Gauteng, coffee break in Newcastle

"goeie woordspeling".....ST ienie
Does she look pleased or what?
Like Wahl said, also from our side, thank you all for the memorable trip with a special word to Dave & Dorothy. Oh yes.....and thank you for all the help in getting my bike's flat tyre fixed
As we all take pictures at the same stops, the pictures tend to overlap sometimes. I also know the saying goes "what happens on a trip, stays on the trip" but I will try to post some "not before published" photos here
Biking and technology have become more and more intertwined.......blue tooth, GPS, pairing, Ipod, emails on the run and so on. Kobus also brought the latest and newest to the trip on his new bike......ASC (automatic stability control aka traction control) and TP (tyre preasure monitor - a very useful feature indeed)
Not always so easy to figure it out though
Biking and technology
biking and technology (continues).....maybe just getting the MP3 to shuffle
where Beemers are most at home.....the open road
the front Beemer on it's maiden long run and passed with flying colours
some local interest in our bikes......methinks he selected the most beautiful bike in the group (even though I had to pay him for that )
true to our club's slogan.......shared riding pleasure - Stienie, Albert and Kobus
this was posted before but it's amazing that some spectacular scenery can so easily goes undiscovered on the road
Kobus and his brand new R1200R.....so pleased that he "sommer" closed his eyes
the MMWC (main man what count) of this trip himself
some members of the group........
Dave & Dorothy studying the menu
Lauritz, Sheila and Albert sharing a joke
Chris & Golda
it remains a beautiful sight

Nice trip and pics. Glad you guys enjoyed it.
Unfortunately the only thing I could ride the weekend was my bed, due to a basd case of flu
