I just wondering what are the club membership benefits besides having the opportunity of riding with a group of fantastic friendly riders.

Oh, there is the once a month social and everything that goes with it . . .
Bavarian has a discount on certain goods/gear for members . . .
Ag and even with no benefits, I would still be a Club member! bounce

The club discount at Bavaria BMW is a wonderful perk of being a club member of a really fantastic club.
A great place to meet like-minded bikers.
The trips away with the club are the best. Well organised and well executed.
Can recommend this club without hesitation,

Hi Johan
The name tags are organised by the secretary, Zonica. zonica@bmwclubs.co.za
If yours aren't in the Club office yet, please let her know, so she can make sure it is ordered.
Your first name tag is free.

Oh, that means I need to collect my name tag. Pity the YEF is before next club meeting to collect the name tag. Is there a way to get it before YEF?

Last week Friday on the way to the meeting, the bottom of the rear tyre of the 650 decided to go flat (top was OK - confirmed). 2 telephone calls later we were picked up, the bike taken to Bavarian and still in time for the hamburger and meeting. With all the clubmembers stopping next to the road (some incognito) we could have had the meeting right there.
A VERY BIG thank you to Danni, MadnohB (the-incognito-one-WITH-tyre-fixing-stuff), Colin (the-bakkie-driver-one), Wahl (who-saw-the-fairer-one-safe-to-the-club-one), Desmond (the-helper-one).
Our body guards Deon, Lynn, Richard, Ann and MadnohB.
If the question is what benefits the club has, the answer is none. The club is nothing without the people that care about fellow bikers and in the process becomes dear friends.
Our thanks go out to our friend that are somehow clubmembers as well.

Bottomline here - chech your tires regularly for nails - even though bike tyres are supposed not to be puncture prone - it still happens. I went past a building site roughly a week ago - a few days later i felt the back tyre drifting in corners and stopped to check - noticed the nail in the tread.

Rurned around and went straight to Bavaria - One mushroom plug later and the tyre is plugged - still has more than 50% of the tread left. Problem with not picking up early enough on nails and the like in the tyre - it can damage the tyre wall and then you have to sometimes replace a very new tyre before its due date.
