My maiden ride
I enjoyed myself to the absolute extreme leading a considerate group, they were well behaved, more than I can say for myself the urge to let rip was over whelming but knew I had to control my emotions to my group as a leader. Now and then a few riders came to play with me up front to keep me company. Once again I express my thanks to an awesome friendly group on my first ride. Thank you to Dave as sweeper to Parys and to Abe returning home. Lets do it again
A special thanks to Nick Sendall for his assistance on planning the route with me.

Re: My maiden ride
Well done!
One thing is for sure, the ladies are doing a sterling job in leading rides......may we see many more ladies stepping up to the plate.
Great to see the increasing number of lady riders in general
now.....let's see some pics.....please

Re: My maiden ride
19 bikes on the ride - and well led by Sue with a very good route.
Just goes to show - the more input from more people results in different routes - just what the club needs.

Also looking forward to the trip in December. I see on the Forum that Tony has been to Kaapsche Hoop and enjoyed it. The input looks good.

Re: My maiden ride
By the by, did you guys see THE MOST BEAUTIFUL guest house behind the breakfast location? Old fashioned house, rooms big enough to really swing a cat around in (if you would want to do that) and well priced for a group of up to 10 people. Really a hidden treasure for a weekend breakaway. I do know what the protocol is for publishing their particulars on the forum, but will gladly put their contact particulars down.

Re: My maiden ride
Sue when I was at Kaapschehoop I commented to my wife that this is the way that God wanted us to live on this earth. Safe tranquil, no fences, chickens and rabbits and horses roaming around. They have an old turkey that thinks he owns the place. There are cats and dogs that roam with the chickens, vervet monkeys in the trees. It is a beautiful and restful place.

Re: My maiden ride
Tony I am getting more and more excited about Kaapschehoop. Had a biker visit our workshop today and he commented that it is paradise. Got any pictures to share with us?
