Hit my first diesel spill this morning..
On the concrete highway travelling from Rivonia towards Edenvale.
Took the Johannesburg offramp - 270deg loop to the left - and someone had left a trail of diesel in the turn.
As soon as I realised what it was, the bike was already in it
Just kept myself off the brakes, kept the throttle steady and rode out the slide towards the outside of the turn.
Managed to get control just before l ran out of road and completed the turn.
Not a very nice experience!!

Ja diesel is scary, especially combined with light rain Had similar experience once and had to get a clean pair. Well done on riding it out. One of those cases where a slight mistake can end in tears

Tell me about it, had my turn and as you know the outcome was not pleasant.
But hey, they tell me everything happens for a reason, certainly learnt a lot !!!
