If you want to know how the BMW Boxer motor works, see an excellent visual depiction at:

If you click on the "Engine strip" button, you will see it in layers as if you were dismantling the motor.

Now I also know what is going on in there. That was actually very interesting. Funny how I never wanted to know before. For all I knew in the past there could have been roided up hamsters in there like in a big hamster wheel.
