With no urgent extra work to do this evening I've been having serious fun posting on my usual string of sites...

(I also found a button that says "view unanswered posts" which found me a number of new subjects I had not read before.
Some prompted me to reply.)

Part of the fun is to look for it and find those posts that needs your illustrious inputs. Congrats to Gert as well. Must say the forum is somewhat addictive and as Richard said - gives one great fun to answer on all relative posts that you feel the need to answer on.

IMO not a rank that I would aspire to...........sounds too much like a cargo transporter and judging from the star allocation, it will stay that way for a “long” time

Choise is yours - but then rejuvenate back to Biker status. Maybe Longhauler and Serious Biker Dude should be swopped - kind of liked that rating better.

Keep on riding - the LT as well as on the forum - does not defray from the pleasure that one derives from communicating with all and sundry on a wide variety of topics.

I'm yet to meet a "real old toppie" at the club. The pure fact that the grey/bold brigade - this goes for men only.....WOULD NOT VENTURE INTO TERRITORY TO TRY AND DESCRIBE THE WOMEN......wait......maybe streetwise sexy - rides bikes, make them......shall we say somewhat more adventurous which automatically disqualify them as "real old toppies"

and a small warning.......never judge a book by it's cover.......I'have seen many a "windgatknowitall" been taken to the cleaners by a more mature person once they get on their bikes, especially on the dirt stuff

I learned at an early age not to judge a book. A lot of boasting a few squash games and a lot of appolagising later The toppies taught me well then I mean no disrespect when I say toppies. I would rather learn from the guys who knows how

No - just saw it when reading a post Jamie did. The same as Richard when i was 6 away from LH. Was a reaction on Jamies post when he reached 100.

Must admit I don't often look/notice the rhs side other than the postees name - unless it a newly registered member.

Yes I have seen the superbike brigade with all the right gear and knee-scrapers come seriously second on Long Tom Pass by an old Beemer with a narrow back wheel and a mature, experienced biker in the saddle

It is much more exciting to ride a slow bike really fast than to ride a really fast bike slowly...
