Multifocals on a bike?
Anyone using multifocals on a bike? Popped in at a new optometrist and she said it is all that will work for me as I battle to see far AND on GPS... At R6,000 (Med aid only pays about R2k of it) I am not convinced! But need to do something... maybe it will work on a road bike but I am suspect about GS riding??

Drix - if you subscribe to the practice of "stand up, look up and open up", you only need to see far

Mmm... I also thought through that one, but it relies on peripheral vision, which is now out of focus. Biggest problem though is reading GPS.

Tried contacts years ago, didn't like it then. Also, with contacts and multifocal requirements they seem to give you one strength for the one eye and different type and strength for the other. Apparently it could work or not, depending on the individual.

How about I buy your GPS? This will solve the problem of not being able to see the GPS...

Re: Multifocals on a bike?

Re: Multifocals on a bike?
Re: Multifocals on a bike?
