Met skok nou-net gehoor dat een van ons nuwe lede, Amanda Blom, Sondag-oggend in 'n ongeluk met haar motorfiets naby Fouriesburg was.
Volgens haar man, Nico, het 'n beskonke man reg voor haar oor die pad geloop.

Amanda is in a critical but stable condition in the ICU of Eugene Marais Hospital.

Dié wat haar nie ken nie, sal dalk onthou die paartjie wat tydens die Februarie Klubaand albei die 'Gold Extreme Rider Award' ontvang het en mekaar nog geluk-gesoen het vir die foto?

Yes, Nico told me the following yesterday:
Amanda is still unconscious (and heavily sedated);
Her heartbeat has periods of instability but apparently the calmness at times is good news.
Amanda had her first operation Tuesday night.
Her jaw was mended and her one eye removed.
Tomorrow another long operation to start rebuilding facial bones.
Doctors predict that she will gain consciousness next week.

And today:
She's still critical, but more stable.
Her organ functions are normal!
It’s certainly going better!
