WSBK Philip Island race 1 - what a finish!!
Great finish for the first race of the year.
Haslam was almost pipped at the post for his first win.
....but BMW continues to disappoint with Corser only finishing 9th - and only because some of the faster bikes crashed out!
.....and I notice that Xaus is at his usual best... Don't even know what happened to him!
The only other BMW to finish was Team Reitwagen's Andrew Pitt - and that at number 15 of 18 finishers.
(see, it does wheelie!! )
With all the hype around the S1000RR and a year in WSBK I expected a better performance. Am I being unfair?
Let's hope that race 2 has more to offer from BMW.
