Kosmos Run - GS
Hi there,
I will be leading the March Club ride to Secunda for lunch.
I did the recce today with a couple of friends, and it was a very nice ride. Lots of open dirt highways with some sandy patches here and there, but nothing to worry about.
I attach some pics:
These are just for dramatic effect - Don't worry we are not going to do this part.
Mr Bonotto
Chris on a Honda XR650
Myself on the BMX
This was such a lekker ride, and it will be newbie friendly.

Re: Kosmos Run - GS
Some details of the ride on Sunday 7 March.
Leave from Atterbury Shell 07:00 for 07:30.
180km to Secunda, from there you can leave on your own way home. I will be leading a ride home on dirt/tar mix. 170km back to Bapsfontein.
Road to Secunda will be mix of tar and dirt highways, with some sandy patches on the dirt roads near Kendal, but only short pieces. If you go fast enough you won't even notice it.
No real mud on the dirt highways.
The way back has more tar, so it will go a bit quicker. There is one stretch through a mielieland that can be a bit tricky, but it is very short and help will be at hand.

Re: Kosmos Run - GS
No Bon, the Air Alien is called Balls and the Mud Alien is called Gravity. It is always a fight between Balls and Gravity. If Balls does not suck hard enough Gravity will normally win.
The true story is available from the internet. It is called the "Legend of the Fall". It is all about the fight between the two Aliens who used to be brothers but then the one stole the other's girlfriend and then they turned out to be eternal enemies..............................
But in the end Gravity became the president and that is why we say that Gravity sucks

Knopkop, I assume this ride will not be 450-friendly (fuel-wise)?

Ja, I won't risk it. But maybe Pieter will join on his fuel tanker?
